Streetlife is announcing the Crossroads Seminar 2026: Urban Microclimates – Landscape Strategies for Cooler Cities, on Thursday, May 7, in Long Island City, New York. Landezine is a supporting partner of the Crossroads Seminar together with ASLA-NY, and the Consulate General of the Netherlands in New York.
“This year’s seminar fosters a meaningful transatlantic exchange between Dutch and New York–based companies, highlighting shared challenges and complementary approaches to building more sustainable, resilient, and climate-adaptive cities.
Our 2026 theme explores how design can actively shape urban microclimates in response to climate change, focusing on climate adaptation strategies, mitigation of the urban heat island effect, and expanding equitable, affordable, and accessible green space.” Streetlife says.
The speakers in the afternoon program:
Molly Bourne, Principal, MNLA
Lisanne Corpel, Lecturer, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences
Zas Brezar, Editor, Landezine
Menghan Yu, Winner, Streetlife Design Competition 2025
