News

Submissions for the CITY’SCAPE AWARD 2026, the international prize dedicated to landscape architecture and design, will officially open on 16 February, with the deadline set for 26 April 2026. The award is organized by PAYSAGE – Promotion and Development for Landscape Architecture in collaboration with the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators, and takes place within the framework of the CITY’SCAPE International Symposium.

Established to recognize excellence in landscape architecture, the award promotes contemporary reflection on the relationship between architecture, environment, and territorial transformation. The initiative aims to highlight projects that demonstrate innovative approaches to the integration of built and natural environments, contributing to sustainable and resilient models of landscape development.

The competition is structured into sixteen thematic categories, covering a broad spectrum of contemporary landscape practice. These include urban forestry, regeneration of abandoned or underused areas, landscape design for wellbeing, infrastructure for slow mobility, technological innovation, research activities, and cultural initiatives related to landscape design. The award seeks to encourage dialogue among international designers, institutions, researchers, and professionals engaged in shaping evolving landscapes.

The call is open to landscape architects, architects, planners, design studios, companies, public administrations, universities, research centers, associations, and professionals operating in the field. Through its international scope, the CITY’SCAPE AWARD intends to foster exchange between diverse design approaches and to promote projects capable of addressing current environmental and social challenges through landscape-based strategies.

The award ceremony will take place in mid-June 2026 during the CITY’SCAPE International Symposium, held at the Salone d’Onore of the Triennale di Milano. The event will bring together practitioners and experts from across the landscape architecture community, offering a platform for discussion, presentation, and recognition of exemplary projects worldwide.

Further information, including submission guidelines and application details, is available through the official CITY’SCAPE channels.
