BAUHAUS4MED Project opened a Call for Contributions for the NEB Conference 2026, titled Reconstructing the Future, which will take place in Florence, Italy, between 14 and 15 May 2026.
The BAUHAUS4MED Project invites researchers, practitioners, civil society actors, public authorities, and creative communities to contribute to the international conference Reconstructing the Future, exploring New European Bauhaus (NEB) themes through a Mediterranean lens.
The event will address spatial interpretations of NEB principles and modes of participatory, aesthetic, and ecological transformation in urban environments.
Suggested Topics: – Urban Green Transformation (green infrastructure, regenerative design, biophilia, nature-based solutions) – Direct Democracy and Participation (co-creation, civic engagement, governance, living labs) – Aesthetic Green Architecture (bioclimatic design, adaptive reuse, heritage integration) – Climate Neutral and Resilient Society (adaptation, mitigation, circularity, disaster risk reduction)
Submission Details: – Structured expanded abstract (3500–4000 characters incl. spaces) – One illustration (.jpg, 300 dpi) – 5 keywords, 5–10 references – Deadline: 20 February 2026 – Notification: 28 February – Full paper or poster due: 15 April – Registration closes: 30 April
