26-27 February / FBSR Landscape Study Days: Healthscapes

News

The Fondazione Benetton Studi Ricerche (FBSR) has announced the theme for the XXII edition of its International Landscape Study Days, titled Healthscapes: Landscape, the Contemporary Meaning of Care, and the Fallacy of Wellbeing. The event will take place on Thursday, 26 February and Friday, 27 February 2026, at the Foundation’s auditorium in Palazzo Bomben, Treviso.

Curated by Luigi Latini (President of the Foundation’s Scientific Committee and professor of Landscape Architecture at IUAV University of Venice) and Simonetta Zanon (Head of Landscape Research and Projects at the Foundation), the 2026 edition brings together insights from landscape architecture, ecology, biology, medicine, environmental psychology, and neuroscience.

The event aims to investigate the relationships between health, illness, and landscape—across scales—addressing how environmental perception shapes human wellbeing, and how landscape design can act as a form of care and proximity to the human condition.

As in previous years, the programme will feature voices from a wide range of disciplines, with a special focus on the role of cinema in representing and shaping these themes.

The full programme and event details will be released by the end of January.
