The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) invites entries for the 2026 ASLA Professional Awards, honouring the most impactful, innovative, and exemplary projects in landscape architecture from around the world. Organised by the ASLA Fund, the awards celebrate work that advances the profession, addresses ecological and social challenges, and demonstrates the transformative potential of landscape design. In addition, ASLA opened an Open call for Student Awards 2026.
Alongside, nominations for Honors, selected by ASLA’s Board of Trustees, which represent the highest awards ASLA presents each year, are open until February 2.
Each year, the Professional Awards recognise excellence in multiple categories, spanning a wide range of practices and geographies:
– General Design – Residential Design – Urban Design – Analysis and Planning – Research – Communications – ASLA / IFLA Global Impact Award – The Landmark Award (for projects with sustained relevance and integrity over time)
Awarded projects are showcased in Landscape Architecture Magazine and receive widespread attention across design and construction media. Winners and their clients will be honoured at the 2026 ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture.
Eligibility
Most categories are open to ASLA Associate, Full, or International members, while the Research and Communications categories also welcome non-members. The Landmark Award is open to all, including local governments, institutions, and individuals.
Jury
The jury process is anonymous, ensuring submissions are judged solely on merit. Jurors include distinguished professionals from diverse practice backgrounds, regions, and disciplines. The 2026 juries are chaired by:
Adam Greenspan, FASLA, PWP Landscape Architects (Berkeley, California) – General, Residential, and Urban Design
Sierra Bainbridge, ASLA, MASS Design Group (Boston, Massachusetts) – Planning, Research, Communications, Global Impact Award
Juries will convene in early 2026, with winners announced ahead of the fall conference.
Deadline
All submissions must be completed by 6 February 2026 at 11:59 PM PST.
This long-standing awards programme reflects ASLA’s mission to elevate the visibility of landscape architecture and its essential role in shaping equitable, resilient, and beautiful environments. Whether responding to the climate crisis, reimagining public space, or advancing research and communication in the field, the ASLA Professional Awards are a platform for celebrating the best the profession has to offer.
